Hi everyone,
I’ve just been sitting here mulling over a few things in my mind so I thought that I’d get them out there by means of a blog post.
One thing I was thinking about is my blog itself. I’ve never really had a proper blog before yet, in just a short time, I’ve managed to set one up and use it as an avenue to get personally involved in the world of Internet marketing. It’s a means whereby I can jot down my thoughts, my progress, my ideas and offer information to the world about what I’ve learned and what I can perhaps help other people with.
The beauty of having a blog is the interaction it affords me with others. I have visited a number of other people’s blogs and left comments there, likewise other people have done the same here. Some people are further ahead than I am in their online endeavours, some aren’t as far and others are at about the same stage. But one thing we all have in common is that we’re all on the same journey, striving to be successful and working our way towards achieving that goal.
I got to thinking about where we all may be in six months, a year from now, two years….
There is absolutely no reason why we all shouldn’t be much, much close to where we want to be by then. Then I got to thinking about how we may get there. It could be that we’ve come up with some ideas and have decided to put them together, combining our skills and forged business relationships that will take us from strength to strength. This may seem a little far off perhaps, but it’s here and now where the foundations are being built. I am building and progressing, as are all of you. I got to thinking about how awesome it would be to look back in, say a year’s time, and reflect on how we got started and how we built up our businesses and forged ahead to achieve our goals.
I always say that making money online needn’t be difficult, but it does require work. It also requires education. Both these aspects were sorely lacking in my previous attempts over the years. But now I do have an education. I am learning all the time and am nowhere even close to being an expert, but I know so much more than I did even two months ago. And two months ago I knew so much more than I knew two months before that, all the time having been putting the work in.
So what does the ‘Internet lifestyle’ mean to me? What does it mean to you? It’s good to actually take some time to reflect on this. Maybe even get yourself a nice journal and write down what you want, even putting in pictures. This can help you to focus and visualise, in turn your objectives can appear so much more real to you and give you that stronger desire to keep on aiming to reach them.
For me, the Internet lifestyle just means freedom. Freedom to be able to do what I want, when I want, without the worry of bills, debts, whether or not I can afford something, not having to work for a boss. For the moment I have some modest desires. My house desperately needs decorating. Once I am getting a reasonable income I shall be able to do that. For the last couple of years or so my brother and sister-in-law have paid for us to go on holiday. It would be wonderful for me to be able to return the favour. So you see, just some modest desires but they are things that I can aim for nonetheless. And I will make them happen. Perhaps not next week or even next month, but as I continue to work on my business and build upon it, I will get there. And so will you, so long as you plan, take action and don’t give up. What are your goals, dreams and desires? I would love to hear what they are! Please let me know by leaving a comment below. No matter how big or small, I want to read them!
In view of taking action and working toward your goals, have you checked out the Quick Start Challenge yet? If not then click on one of the banners and see what it has to offer. I strongly believe – no, I KNOW – that if you accept the Challenge and take action, you will see results. In the mean time, don’t forget to leave a comment and tell me about your goals and dreams. I really am interested! π

P.S. Incidentally, I’m curious about something. What would you prefer – do you prefer to read a blog post or would you rather watch a video? Let me know below!
Hey Glenn,
I often ponder about the Internet marketing arena as a whole. It definitely takes a lot of effort and I often say that there is a huge learning curve involved. In the end you decide how much effort you want and need to put into it.
When you look at these “Gurus” out here, it let’s you know that there is a certain level of success you can attain. Of course, we know that all of them aren’t doing as well as they claim, but it is clear that some of them are. And that is enough to keep motivated.
Thanks for the reminder
Hi Wadud,
Thanks for visiting again buddy π
You’re right, there’s definitely a huge learning cure. With the Internet, on the one hand it’s so easy to get things out there but with that comes the outlandish claims and the scammers who appeal to our vanity. But on the other hand, because it’s so easy to get things out there it is a fantastic medium for being able to make money and get yourself an established online business for a minimum outlay. It’s that learning curve that involves separating the truth from the lies, the good from the bad and the way that we need to approach making money online in order to be successful. In total it’s probably taken me around 13 years to navigate that curve! The difference for me now is that I can finally see where I’m heading and what I need to do in order to get there π

Hey Glenn,
Nice post again bro. Believe me, we will get there one day at at time. As I’ve said before, Rome wasn’t built in one day and our businesses will not rise overnight. But, they will rise nevertheless. Keep up the great work and as always, if you need anything, you know where to find me.

Hi Jerry,
That’s very true. Each city must start one brick at a time and it’s just the same with IM. I think that’s where some fail, when they look for the quick fix and they get overwhelmed by trying to take on everything at once or they don’t want to put the work in. I’ve learned so much from Alex and Dean about building this up the right way, I’m now overwhelmed in another way – overwhelmed by just how awesome these guys are and how much I’ve been helped by them already! That may sound a bit corny, but it’s the absolute truth – they really are THAT good!
Keep plugging away Jerry, we’re heading for great things mate π
