Day Four of my Challenge

font-38446_150.pngHey gang,

Sorry but it’s going to be another short post today. I’ve had another mega busy day so, although I have done a bit of forum posting and blog commenting, I’ve done nowhere near what I wanted to do or what I would normally do. My visitors numbers have dropped slightly but considering the last couple of days have been a little sparse on my part they’re not actually too bad.

As for exploring new traffic methods, I haven’t had chance to do much in that area either, although I have been looking into it a bit. Nothing to report yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

I think tomorrow will be more like a three days in one approach! I’m going to really try to make up for my somewhat tepid couple of days.

One thing I have learned is to make sure that I click on “reply” underneath a person’s comment when I want to reply to them. Many times I’ve just put my response in the main reply box right at the bottom of the thread but I had a “duh!” moment and realised that I should have been utilising the individual reply button to reply to individual comments. Not a biggie perhaps but I just wanted to share that little oversight with you 🙂

Well, it’s off to bed now for me. Well, it will be as soon as I can prise my cat from my knee! He’s a big cat, I mean BIG! More like a panther really, big and black. He doesn’t care that my laptop is here, he just finds some way of forcing himself on and then settles down whilst making happy, purring sounds! It’s a miracle that there’s even room for my laptop, let alone that I’m able to type this! Anyway, speak to you tomorrow (or, technically, later today…)

    Hi Glenn

I’m glad that you’re still posting, keep it up mate. I’m not going to be posting everyday due to focusing on other stuff (even though i’ll be active everyday).

    Keep it up mate

    1. Hey dude,

Thanks for your support as always, much appreciated mate! 🙂

I think, for now at least, I’ll try to update daily. I’m finding that it’s helping me to focus. I know that I should be placing the importance on the daily tasks I need to do, but I think that I could slip and think “Oh I’ll leave it for today, I’m too tired” or whatever. But knowing that I need to post an update stops me slacking off and makes me take action. It’s the whole accountability thing, I suppose. I’ve said I’ll update so I need to make sure that I have done something to post an update about!

So, with that being said, my Day 6 update will be following in a little while 😉

  2. Hi Glen,

It’s tough to report daily, that is why I decided to just do it weekly. Besides I have to also keep up with the other content on my blog.

Neat that you have a black cat. I do to. She no longer wants to sit in my lap though. Mind you whenever I read (usually laying down) she curs up with me.

Hope you have a productive day tomorrow (I guess today for you).

    Cheers,

    Dita

    1. Hi Dita,

I know what you mean. It can be difficult coming up with ideas for good content at the best of times! I might adjust the update frequency, I’ll see how it goes. But I’m definitely going to get my head down and work today!

Cats are awesome aren’t they? Even though they are all plotting against us to take over the world…. :-p

  3. Just remember that any post is better than no post. At least we know that you’re thinking about the challenge. That cat has some possession issues. You better watch him/her.

    1. Hey Jerry,

Good point bro. I’m determined to work on this every day, even if, for some reason, it isn’t possible to put in the 60 minutes minimum.

My cat doesn’t have possession issues – he decided from a very early age that I am his possession :-p
