Day Number 8 of the 60 Day Challenge

Here it is, day 8 of the 60 day challenge. So how’s everything going? Well again, I haven’t yet ventured into additional free traffic methods. As I mentioned in previous posts, I’ve had a few rough days health-wise so being focused on doing anything at all has been a bit of a struggle. So I’ve thought it best to just carry on doing what I’ve been doing and concentrate on forum and blog commenting, so this is what I have been doing today.

I thought that around this point I could give you a few stats. I’m not going to do that right now in this post as it’s very late here and I really should have been in bed around three hours ago, especially with me not being so well at the moment. But the good news is I’ve been able to access my Google Analytics info. I’ve found that the page works perfectly in Opera, but if I try to access it in Firefox then I just get the top bar and nothing else. This is a mystery as I have made no changes whatsoever at my end here, so I really don’t know what the problem is right now.

Upon checking my latest statistics in Google Analytics, I found two encouraging pieces of information. The first is that I’m still getting around the same number of visitors in a day. Now of course, I’d prefer that number to be climbing considerably, but at least it hasn’t dropped, so that’s a positive thing. The other thing I’ve noticed is that the percentage of new visitors over recurring visitors has increased. Oh yes, I still seem to be attracting a large proportion of visitors from Slovenia…

Something I noticed today about my stats on the Warrior Forum is that I’ve had an increase in the number of visitors to my member profile. Also, I’ve had a few “thanks” on some of my recent posts. Now, while all this doesn’t necessarily translate into traffic to my blog, subscribers or buyers, it does tell me that my posts are generating enough interest to warrant people clicking on my profile and that some people are finding my posts useful. So I’m clearly doing something right there!

So, What’s Next in the Challenge?

One disappointing thing is that I haven’t been getting subscribers to my list. This is something I’m going to look at specifically over the next couple of days to see if I can tweak things to remedy that.

The other thing I’m going to do over the next few days is try to increase my social media presence. I am already utilising Twitter, Tumblr and Google+ but I’m sure that there are ways in which I can greatly increase my success with these. I am also going to look into using other avenues of social media too through the coming week.

So that’s where things stand right now. Again, nothing really exciting to report, but there are some encouraging signs there and it’s still only early days of the challenge yet. At least I am getting consistent traffic and am getting recognition on the Warrior Forum.
