It’s Alive!

Well after much toil and sweat my website is finally live and (hopefully) working! First and foremost, who am I….? No, no, I’m not having a case of amnesia – it was a rhetorical question. :-p If you want to know a bit more then please take a look at the “About Glenn” page, but otherwise, I’ll shed a bit of light below:

My name is Glenn and I am an Internet Marketer. Now, if you’ve already ready the ‘about’ page then you may be thinking, “Woah, woah, hold on there! I thought you said that you’re starting from scratch and don’t have any real experience, so how can you call yourself an Internet Marketer?” Well, here is something that I think is a key element to anyone starting out in this industry – belief. If you believe that you are an Internet Marketer then you will act like an Internet Marketer. And this takes us on to the second important aspect in Internet marketing – action. You won’t get anywhere without action. I certainly haven’t until now. As I explain in my ‘about’ page, I’ve been at this now since the early 90’s, including direct marketing, but I have never really got anywhere. Why not? Well through various reasons, some my own doing, some not, but mainly it was down to a lack of action and the next important aspect – focus. Sure, I’ve bought and studied various products, bought into and studied various courses, but never done anything with them or with the knowledge that I’ve accumulated. In fact, I’ve probably accomplished more in this last month than I have in the last 19 years put together! I didn’t know the first thing about WordPress, yet here I am typing a blog post on my WordPress blog. And yes, I have done this all myself (apart from the theme, but I did install and configure it myself!), I haven’t had any help or outsourced anything. Do I think everything is perfect and do I have everything in motion that I want and require? No. But I have started, and this is the main thing. I have belief in myself that I can and WILL make this work, I took action and tried to remain focused. Sure, I sometimes get distracted, but ultimately I have made progress and I have been productive.

Do you want to know what’s really cool too? In less then two weeks I have actually made some money online! Excluding private sales on eBay, this is the FIRST money I have ever made online! Okay it isn’t much – less than 2 USD at the current count – but the important thing is that it’s progress and it’s a start. We all have to start somewhere, to have goals, and if we work towards them with determination then we can succeed. I had a goal to make money online and I have reached it. My next goal is to make more money online and I will reach this too. Would I like 1 million dollars or pounds? Of course I would, who wouldn’t? Is this my goal? No. Maybe someday, but not yet. My goal for now has to be achievable. This is why it’s important to actually make a start in building your business. If you don’t build the foundations then you won’t have anything upon which to build the bigger stuff. So I have made a small amount of money, I will make a bit more and my short-term goal is to be earning a minimum of Β£1000 (currently about $1587 USD) per month. Once I have achieved this then I will build upon it and aim a little higher. For now, I am still learning how to implement the various bits and pieces I’ve learned over the years and the new stuff I’m learning. I would love for you to accompany on my journey and maybe, if you’re new to this too, we can enjoy the adventure together! I’d love for you to comment or ask questions πŸ™‚

P.S. About a year ago when I first started to think seriously about getting all this stuff in motion properly, I put together a free little package that contains a few bits of info that I hoped would be of some help to beginners such as myself. See the big, slidey thing at the top of the page? If you click on that when the banner for my package comes up it will take you to a page where you can take a look if you feel so inclined. I haven’t decided yet as to whether to keep this package online or to revamp it, but for now it’s there and it’s free, so go ahead and check it out (EDIT: In fact, for now I’ve just decided to give it away to anyone who subscribes to my newsletter!)

  1. Hi Glenn,

I just read your ebook on ‘Why Not You’. I really enjoyed the info you shared. I’m just starting out myself and have joined as a partner at Ipro. I stumbled across your link via facebook and that’s how I ended up here.
I’ve started my own blog as a hub to get traffic to it and I looked at your blog yesterday and you’ve done an awesome job and it’s something to aspire too.

    Cheers
    Stephen

    1. Hi Stephen,

Yes, I recognised your name from iPro. I hope all’s going well for you? Remember that you can use the community group to get help and support and you can contact me directly on Facebook too if you need me. πŸ™‚

It’s interesting that you chose this post to comment on, my very first post made all that time ago! But when you look at this post and where I was at this point, compared to where I am now and how my blog has grown, it goes to show just what can be achieved, even when you start out from scratch without knowing anything.

I look forward to checking out your blog too and I wish you much success with it. Again, don’t forget to reach out if you need help. Plus, as an iPro Partner you’ll be very soon getting access to my new blogging course which will be sure to help you too.

Have a great weekend, bud, πŸ™‚
