6 Blogging Resources You Need to Visit Today

blogging resourcesHi everyone,

First off, a bit of news…

I’ve decided, for the moment, to suspend my podcasts.

This is because at the moment I don’t have things set up in my home studio and office to record them without a heck of a lot of faffing about.

It’s go to the point where it’s so much hassle to do them that I’m simply not enjoying it anymore.

I do intend to start them up again in the near future once I have things set up more efficiently, but for now I’m giving them a rest.

On With the Show…

This week I’m going to do something a little different. Instead of me waffling on, I thought I would promote some of my favourite blog posts that I have come across in the last week.

Doing this has a few benefits:

  • Less work for me!
  • It helps to spread the word about outstanding bloggers and their excellent content.
  • It gives you, dear reader, some marvelous content from which you can learn a ton.

You will likely have seen me refer to many of these bloggers many times before. But hey, if they keep on putting out great content then I’m going to keep sharing it with you and giving them a well-deserved plug!

So, first up is Donna Merrill. She has written an outstanding post that asks the question: Are you chasing fast money or building a solid business? This is an absolute MUST read for anyone who has any kind of interest in making money online.

Are You Chasing Fast Money Or Building A Solid Business?

Next, I am going to feature another of my favourite bloggers, the inimitable Adrienne Smith. Have you heard of influencer marketing? Do you even know what it means to be an influencer? Do you know how to do influencer marketing correctly? All this and more is covered in Adrienne’s post.

The Right And Wrong Ways To Do Influencer Marketing

For my next featured post, I am going to send you over to the website of Ashley Faulkes. Only, this post is not written by him. Rather, it’s a guest post by Taylor Manning in which she covers some excellent and, indeed, essential tips for newbies to building websites with WordPress.

7 Powerful Tips To Build Your First WordPress Site With Ease

A few weeks ago I was featured in a roundup post on Sherman Smith’s blog. Sherman always puts out quality content and it was a real honour to be asked to participate in that post among such a plethora of wonderful bloggers. The subject of Sherman’s latest post ties in nicely with that: engagement and reciprocity. Just recently I myself spoke about engagement on my blog. In fact, it’s something that you will see me talk about a lot. Why? Because it’s important! Have a read of Sherman’s post to get his perspective on the subject and some great tips.

Is Your Online Marketing Plan Building Strong Reciprocity?

I love this next post from Mark Newsome. It reminds me of John Chow’s philosphy about not seeing problems, only opportunities. Is that how you see things? After reading Mark’s post you might have a whole different outlook!

So What Happens When A New Way Of Thinking Meets Opportunity Half Way?

Linda Schrier is someone I have watched start out from complete scratch and take her blog to a whole new level. In her latest post she talks about blog commenting, yet she explains how it’s done and its benefits in such a way that I haven’t seen anyone else do. Blog commenting is something that I feel all bloggers should be doing. Don’t forget to leave a comment on Linda’s post after you’ve read it! 😉

The Importance of Blog Commenting

I don’t want to overwhelm you with loads of links to an abundance of blogs, so I shall leave it there. But there’s plenty of information in those posts from which you can learn a whole heap and go on to apply.

Which were your favourites?

  1. Hi Glenn

Thanks for your valuable post. I am familiar with the first 3 folk – Adrienne Smith, Sherman Smith and Ashley Faulkes. All three are first class bloggers and online networkers.

    As for the others…..

    – I’ve taken a peek at Mark Newsome’s ‘new way of thinking’ post – looking good!
    – Linda Schrier’s post on blog commenting offers great advice
    – Mark Newsome’s post on reciprocity also hits the spot

All in all a nicely balanced selection you’ve given us, Glenn.

    Thanks!

    1. Hey Ashley,

Thanks for stopping by, bro. It’s my pleasure to feature Taylor’s post, it’s a good ‘un! I look forward to seeing what else you and Taylor have in store for us!

Things are most definitely on the up, thanks. 🙂 I just got my sites migrated to my new host without a hitch, so that’s one thing out of the way. There are other things happening too, but I’m not saying just yet… 😉

I hope you’re well and all’s good with you. Have a great weekend, buddy.

  3. Hi Glenn,

Thank you so much for this roundup post of 6 bloggers. It is totally awesome and so uplifting for me to see my post there as well. I was overjoyed with passion.

I know all of the bloggers with the exception of Mark Newsome.

Donna Merill wrote “Are You Choosing Fast Money Or Building A Solid Business. It makes me remember a saying I’ve heard you use from Alex Jeffreys “don’t chase the money, let the money chase you.” I also took a course from Donna called “Blogging Magic” and it was wonderful.

Adrienne Smith I met from one of your blog posts and she changed my way of thinking with blogging and my life. I learned the importance of blog commenting from her. I also went through coaching with her which was incredible. When I think about building relationships, I think of her. She is the queen at building relationships and I adore her.

Sherman Smith I met on a roundup post, “131 Best Bloggers Post” which I learned about from you. I got myself noticed on that post because I tweeted all of them. I got on his mailing list from that post.and boy am I glad I did. I am actually helping other people now, thanks to him.

Ashley Faulkes I met on your blog and later on Adrienne’s blog. He took my blog that was held together by rubber bands and paper clips so to say the least and turned it into a beautiful blog. He is a terrific person and one I admire just like you.

Mark Newsome I’ve never heard of but I enjoyed what he shared in “So What Happens When A New Way Of Thinking Meets Opportunity Halfway?” It amazes me that he came up with that idea. If you want to know how PPC came about, you have to read this post. It’s full of massive value.

“The Importance Of Blog Commenting came from me, Linda Schrier and it all started from reading your blog posts Glenn. I said it in the Quick Start Challenge and that is failure is not an option. You have no idea how much I appreciate you for putting me in this roundup post as it means the world to me. I am so grateful!

Thank you so much for sharing, Glenn and you have a wonderful week!

    1. Hi Linda,

You are very welcome, its my pleasure. And believe me, you post is worthy of highlighting. If it wasn’t then it wouldn’t be here! 🙂

I’m really happy to see the progress you’re making. You’re really blossoming as a blogger and it’s truly fantastic to see. I’m glad, too, that so many of my blogging buddies have had a hand in helping you to get this far.

Keep on progressing, Linda, you’re doing fantastic stuff that’s only going to continue growing and getting even better! 🙂

  4. Hey Glenn,

I don’t know how people do podcasts, blogging, running their business, social media and building relationships with others. How do they do it all? I’m sure though when you have things set up the way you want then things will fall into place.

Well I enjoy roundup posts because we can’t be everywhere reading everything and I know I miss some really good ones from time to time. So with these types of posts we’re reminded of some that we missed or we’re also introduced to some bloggers we’ve never met before.

I’m thrilled to say that I know all these bloggers mentioned and have read their posts. I feel like I need a high five or something. LOL!!!

Thank you for including one of my posts as well and for the wonderful introduction. You’re too kind but it’s greatly appreciated.

Thanks again and hope this comment finds you well. Enjoy your weekend now.

    1. Hi Adrienne,

I don’t know how they do it either! I’m going to have even more to do going forwards, but that’s for another time…. 😉

Although I’ve featured lists of bloggers before, I don’t think that I’ve done an actual roundup post before. But the idea for doing this just came out of the blue so I ran with it. I could have included a lot more but, as I mentioned in the post, I think I picked just the right length. I know I find that if a blogger references too many sites I just feel a bit over-faced and won’t bother checking them all.

It’s always a pleasure to give you a plug, Adrienne. You’re an absolute superstar at what you do and the world needs to know, frankly! 😉

I hope all’s well with you and that you have an awesome weekend, my friend.
